Oui, Nico a raison, Alex a parlé d'un dernier album....mais sa phrase c'était en gros "blur n'a plus trop d'activité, si on devait faire un dernier album, j'aimerais que ce soit avec graham et qu'on y bosse maintenent". En fait, il n'a pas dit qu'il aimerait que ce soit un dernier album, il a dit que vu les circonstances, les projets solos de chacun, que ThinK Tank devenait de plus en plus le dernier album de blur et qu'il aimerait que ça finise autrement...avec un nouvel album, avec ou sans Graham. Ce qui veut dire, je pense, qu'il feront un album et qu'ils jugeront sur le moment si ça doit être le dernier ou non...Très franchement je ne crois pas du tout en la fin de blur...je pense que ça restera un groupe en activité avec des sorties d'albums de plus en plus espacées, tout les 10ans voire plus, un peu comme AC/DC, à part qu'ils auront des projets solos.....moi je vois le truc comme ça....je sais pas ce que vous en pensez...

Sinon il est où l'intêret pour Coxon de revenir si ce n'est le pognon?Après ses diverses déclarations sur le groupe et le prétendu bonheur que lui apporte sa carrière solo ya de quoi être un peu sceptique.

Interet humain....parce que tu crois réellement tout ce qu'il a dit sur blur? Mais bien sur que non, tout ça c'est une histoire d'ego....jouer avec les 3 autres lui manque...seulement il a dû attendre quelque temps histoire que tout ça se tasse. Il a fait joujou tout seul, ça lui démangeait, il a vu ce que ça faisait, maintenent il se retrouve un peu comme un c**, sans trop savoir quoi faire...pour preuve son double single.

Je ne pense pas qu'il ait des problèmes d'argent ou qu'il soit attiré par l'appât du gain, sans quoi cela fait longtemps qu'il serait revenu ou qu'il serait parti faire la tournée de Robbie Williams ...

Je pense m'être mal fait comprendre en réalité. Je ne voulais pas laisser sous entendre que sa principale motivation était l'argent, j'ai simplement du mal à saisir ce qui l'a motivé à reprendre les négociations après sa rupture quelque peu houleuse avec le groupe.

A en croire le très contreversé journal britannique The Sun, Graham Coxon aurait donné son accord afin de rejoindre Blur en studio, et ce dès la fin de la tournée européenne de Damon Albarn au sein de The Good, The Bad And The Queen.

Comme mentionné sur le forum depuis quelques jours...
Je n'ai pas osé publié de news là dessus étant donné les informations en général plutôt douteuses ou nauséabondes publiées par ce tabloïd qui a entre autres montrer les fesses de la chancelière allemande ou fait une couverture choc "Chirac le vers" lors du débat sur la guerre en Irak. Ce tabloïd (employer le terme journal est abusif !) est de plus la propriété du puissant Rupert Murdoch (qui détient aussi la célèbre Fox News et... MySpace, cf http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_Corporation).

A priori dans ce cas précis il y a des chances qu'il tiennent l'information d'une personne de chez EMI ou Parlophone qui n'a pas pu se retenir. Attention, à trop fouiller dans les poubelles on risque d'être déçus

Pour montrer le degré de fiabilité, voilà un exemple datant de cinq ans pour refroidir tout le monde
Cela se passe en janvier 2002, donc après la première session d'enregistrement de Think Tank et le départ de Graham :

Le tabloïd The Sun prévoit une nouvelle guéguerre entre Oasis et (c'est un peu réchauffé mais bon...) à l'occasion d'une sortie casi simultanée de leurs nouveaux albums en Juin 2002. C'est une information à prendre au conditionnel, The Sun n'étant pas une source vraiment fiable...
La plupart des rumeurs sur le net parlent tout de même des mois de Juin ou Juillet 2002 et Damon a parlé (dans les inrrocks en décembre) d'une sortie "pour l'été 2002".

Un petit lien pour ceux qui sont allés jusqu'au bout : Graham Coxon is just a hypocrite, really.

Blur reunion gets closer
Is Graham Coxon finally ready to return to the fold?

Rumours of a Blur reunion and new album with the original fourpiece were further fuelled today (January 7) by bassist Alex James.

Speaking in the Sunday Times newspaper, James - who is currently focusing on cheese making - said recent contact with estranged guitarist Graham Coxon led him to think "the time is right [for Coxon to rejoin].

"I've been talking to Graham and there might be some good news," he said. "It's by no means in the bag, but it looks quite promising. Maybe the time is right. We've always left the door open for him, so that's what I'm hoping for."

The remarks build on those made by James in November when he said he'd like Blur "have a happy four-piece ending." At the time, it was also suggested that once frontman Damon Albarn finished live dates with current side project The Good, The Bad And The Queen in February, Blur would reconvene in a studio to begin work on what may be their final album.

James also said in December that he and Coxon had met up for the first time in a year and discussed reuniting.

Coxon left in 2002 during sessions for the 'Think Tank' album. The other three members carried on and finished the album without him.

Stephen Street was in the kitchen when I got home, trying to explain the digital recording process to my mum. He produced Blur's first five albums and he's just finished making the new Babyshambles record with Pete Doherty. The day before I'd heard the epic story of the recording of the winning American Idol record from Stephen Lipson, another record producer friend. Somehow, the Babyshambles situation didn't seem to be anywhere near as hard to manage.

I love record producers, they turn half-baked dreams into digital stereo. Streetie and I went out for dinner and talked about the good old days. He was impressed and surprised by my new love of microphones. I explained to him how I mic up a drumkit and he agreed with my thinking. Back at home in the small hours we sat in the studio listening to Kool and the Gang and Eddie Harris records, trying to work out where the funk was. It's precisely threequarters of the way through the third beat of the bar, if you're wondering.

I've almost stopped listening to contemporary music. I'm going backwards rather than forwards. I used to like The Beatles. Then I found out that they liked Roy Orbison and I started listening to Roy. Roy is an operatic tenor, really, and that voice has led me into a new realm of orchestral epics. Pop music sounds better in cities, but the countryside is all about violas. Then Stephen picked up a guitar and started playing "Every Day is like Sunday", a song he wrote for Morrissey ages ago. I joined in on the double bass and we both sang our heads off.

Those impromptu moments are the most enjoyable of all. It was lovely. We've known each other a long time and we've had our ups and downs, but he's the country's most fashionable record producer again. My star seems to be on the ascent, too. Recently I have had to go to London almost every day to talk to a camera about how much I like living in the country. That's showbiz

He was in a room upstairs and a dozen people were listening to him and taking notes. I had a meeting as well, but only with two people. We used to go to the Groucho and be silly. Now we go there to be sensible. Later Damon and I sat in Dean Street, smoking and talking about Graham Coxon, our erstwhile guitarist, as usual.

I take my hat off to Damon for everything he's achieved since the last Blur record. An opera, a supergroup, Gorillaz, Africa Express. It's dazzling. Graham doesn't do meetings. He watches This Morning and fiddles with his motorbikes, but part of me is just as impressed by that as by Damon's pre-eminence. Someone came up and said, "Can I have a photo?" We both said, "Alright." He took Damon's photo, and walked off.

Damon got in to a taxi and I strolled down to the House of Commons for tea on the terrace with The National Trust. It's the Trust's 100th anniversary. There were a lot of people there. Dave Rowntree, Blur's drummer, is making himself at home in the political community but I was slightly out of my depth in my Prada wellies, alongside the grandee stewards of the British countryside. I've realised I'm what's called a "finger farmer". That's when you point your finger at people and tell them to do things. There is no shame in that. The finger is the most powerful tool in the universe and knowing where to point it is the most difficult skill there is.

I was introduced to the chairman and we talked about the weather. It's fair to say there was quite a lot to say about the weather, but I could tell that wasn't why we were all there. An energetic figure introduced himself and reminded me, "Ah, chairman! Congratulations, chairman, on the 100th anniversary of The National Trust and well done on this morning's early day motion." Boy, he was slick. I talked to him for a bit. He was MP for Wiltshire. I find it hard not to like politicians, they are the ultimate art dealers.

I've always enjoyed walking around London, more so now I don't live there any more. I strode all the way to Camden, to the Jazz Café to see The Producers, an all-star pop group. Producers are the real finger-pointing geniuses of the music business. The band started their set with "Two Tribes" a song that two of their number had written for Frankie Goes to Hollywood. It was number one for months in the mid-Eighties. It was a record that bootstrapped its entire genre into a different league, and is possibly the best pop record ever, I suddenly thought. Pop music has become mouldy. So it was great to hear the men who gave the pop song genus its last real kick in the pants wheel out their antique masterpiece. I felt inspired. Maybe it's time for another meeting outside the Groucho with Damon, if we can persuade Graham to come.

well......i have contacted all the other boys....damo as yet hasnotted come back, tho i know he busy and flakey, as such as i am....the fone becoming somewhat of a bind and object of derishun and suspish.....but.....the week set aside is, i think...to see what shoes we wear...what hair we have and cut of trouser.....there might be playing, or it might be tea and cake.....this is the bridge we cross for now...to see if minds be open or close...if anything it'll be nice just to feel the dynamics in 4 boys now grown and hopefully more tolerant.
