lol les gars.
J'ai entendu parler d'une face-b de blur s'appelant "Bicycle Built For Two ", que je n'ai jamais écoutée cependant. Et là, miracle, en écoutant un album de John Fahey, "the transfiguration of blind joe death", un album remarquable d'ailleurs, je tombe sur un titre "Bicycle Built For Two". Et là je me demande : y-a-til un lien entre ces deux chansons? Blur a-t-il repris du John Fahey? Ce serait magique, les amis.

La phrase "Bicycle Built For Two" me fait penser à Daisy Bell mais aucun rapport non ?

Moi aussi, ça me fait penser à Daisybell. Et il y a un rapport: le titre exact de Daisybell, c'est "Daisy Bell (A bicycle made for two)". Song & Music by: Harry Dacre. Et non de John Fahey, désolée.Source: CD de Sunday Sunday de ma blur box

Daisy Bell est une face b de Sunday Sunday. C'est une chanson populaire anglaise composée en 1892 par Harry Dacre. Blur l'a jouée en live au Mile End Stadium en 95 avec Phil Daniels.

Bicycle Built For Two
• Composed in 1892 by Harry Dacre, an Englishman. This turn-of-the-century standard is played in standard tuning, key of C, with the tonic C chord often played with the fifth note, G, in the bass. This was also common in the blues guitar tradition - the playing of the fifth (or the third) of the chord as the bass note while muting it with the side of the right hand.
• Possibly Fahey was inspired to record this by hearing Merle Travis's supercharged fingerpicked version back in the 1950s.

Je me doutais bien que Nico saurait alléger mes angoisses existencielles, comme cette fois où il m'avait composé un poème romantique pour me consoler d'une peine amoureuse, qui s'intitulait "la banane écrasée"
